Bits and Pieces

Neptune in Aquarius until April 4, 2011

Remember the song; this is the Dawning of the Age of Aquarius? When the sun is in the 7th house and Jupiter is aligned with Mars, then peace shall guide the planets and love will guide the stars…

The planetary ruler of Neptune entered the sign Aquarius in 1999 bringing us into this time of change and new thought, which will facilitate the transformation of humanity and its values. This song describes very well what Neptune in Aquarius means. There seems to be a global spiritual movement and awakening which will eventually create an enlightened civilization. We will begin to see and be more interested in spiritual phenomena, teachers, guru’s, and consider the existence of extra-terrestrial intelligence, moreover, many of us may be ‘open to channel’ their messages of hope, help and guidance for man kind. We will experience a stronger development of intuition, humanitarianism and the opening of the heart chakra in humankind. Our planet itself is also evolving and is preparing for its own renewal and changes. We must remember that in order to create a better world, the old world, and ways of living must be changed. Our planet is beginning to cleanse itself for a new order of being. It can be best explained by thinking of the myth behind the planet Pluto, which tears down the old order of being into ashes, then creates the new through the rising of the phoenix. The recent upheaval in Canadian Hockey is an example of the need for change, and the unfortunate consequences of hidden motivations, which cause some of the best of humankind to be used as scapegoats. In addition, the most recent Tsunami disaster is another example of our planet’s urge to make changes. Even though this disaster is one of the worst we have endured, the charity of humankind, which came together, is the positive outcome that surpassed all expectations. John Lennon wrote a most wonderful love song to humanity called ‘Imagine’…. ‘Imagine all the people living as one,… no more wars, or religion too…just the brotherhood of man…’. We are now on the first steps towards the evolution of humanity and our planet into a new enlightened consciousness.

Uranus in Pisces to March 12, 2011

With Neptune in Aquarius and Uranus in Pisces, we have a powerful combination for future advancement into the spiritual realms of intelligence. We will experience the development of intuitive abilities mysticism, yoga and meditation techniques and can take a walk into the hidden realisms of reality. Furthermore, there are great possibilities for discoveries in consciousness studies, health, and new healing techniques.

In addition, sudden unexpected experiences, either positive or negative in nature can occur. An example of this is the Tsunami disaster, the flooding in North Vancouver and California . Unexpected disasters involving water and/ or electricity, power outages, storms involving rain and the seas, volcanic eruptions and adverse effects from global warming and our own advanced technology.

On the positive side, the beginning of the brotherhood of man, new discoveries and inventions in the health industry, technologies, sudden genius insights into the above mentioned areas of thought, the service and charitable work, unexpected windfalls for children’s charities, advancement and change in sports and recreation, a new look at the positive part pets play in our lives and a new paradigm for their care, safety and respect. Television programs supporting spirituality such as Opra, Crossing Over, Touched by an Angel, and special educational and enlightening programs with appearances by Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Carolyn Myss and others with an awakening message.

We are going through a transformation on our planet. We, as the global citizens of earth must change and in doing so will help facilitate a healing for ‘mother earth’ herself. The time is now, as we are at a critical stage in our evolution. With Uranus in Pisces and Neptune in Aquarius, we are at what is called in astrology, a mutual reception. These are very powerful energies that can bring us to a new state of being, so stay conscious and help yourself and others to be the best we can be.

And.. To further analyze your chart!

Take a look at these ancient methods:

Dwads - are a Vedic astrology technique whereby each sign has 12 subdivisions of 2 ½ } each. The first Dwad is the same as the sign in question, the next 2 ½ } is the following sun sign and so forth.

e.g. Virgo 6 }, therefore, the first Dwad of 2 ½ } is Virgo, the next 2 ½ } Libra, and following 2 ½ } Scorpio. So this degree will be influenced by the sign Scorpio.

Decans/decanates – each sign is 30 } each and divided into 3 decans of 10 } each, which is related to the 3 signs of the same element.

E.g. for Virgo, the 1 st decan is 0-10 } Virgo decan, 10-20 } is assigned to Capricorn, the third decan is 20-30 } is assigned to Taurus

Pisces, 1 st decan is 0-10 } Pisces, next is 10-20 } Cancer, and following is 20-30 } Scorpio

Saturn in Cancer

The teacher and karmic planet Saturn moved into the sign Cancer June 5, 2003 and will be staying (for some as an unwanted guest) until July 16, 2005.

This energy of Saturn in Cancer will affect all Sun sign Cancers . If you have your moon ( emotions, family, home) or ascendant (personality, appearance, health) in Cancer this will also come into effect. In fact, if you know what house is ruled by Cancer in your astrology chart, you too, will feel the effect of this transit of Saturn.. And sometimes, Saturn, ruler of Capricorn (authority, responsibilities) is not a lot of fun. He likes to put a damper on things and can cause all sorts of delays, restrictions, frustrations, feelings of being fenced in, somber moods and karmic manifestations. Responsibilities are overwhelming and depression can set in. Cancer also rules the past, so old memories and ‘wanting for the old days gone by’ can fill our hearts with sentiments. If Saturn is about restrictions, rules and responsibilities, the first place we need to go is inside of us. What area of our life is feeling restrictive and challenging? What do we need to clean up and let go of within our own consciousness, and body? Remember our outer world is a reflection and manifestation of our inner world resulting from our thoughts, beliefs, values and choices we have made in the past. If we have rigid thinking and closed minds, Saturn may show up in our body as stiffness, restricted movement, or lock jaw! Saturn rules Capricorn and the 10th house (career, how others see you), while the Moon rules Cancer and the 4th house, (home, family roots). You could say , ‘as are the roots in the tree (Cancer/moon) so will be the fruit (Capricorn/Saturn). Here again, we work with polar opposites. Our challenge is to find resolutions to the conflicts within ourselves, thus finding balance and harmony within our core. With Saturn in Cancer right now, he is asking, "how are you doing, what inner conflicts are holding you back from being all you were meant to be"?Saturn is here to teach us responsibility to our family, the community, the planet and ourselves. When a tree bears less than its best fruit, the orchard keeper must find out why, then nurture the tree with the best of care. So must you and I.

Your astrological chart is a psychological map of your personality; more specifically—your genetic coding. Your environment has also been an influence or perhaps has deepened your innate patterns.
We can change these by listening to our own intuition and surrendering to our higher self. Healing can take place through Grace ... the essence of unconditional love.
